I have a surprise for you today! Look at this sweet Santa hat! 🎅
You are probably not going to be surprised if I tell you that Dragon Dreams has been my most popular quilt pattern so far. And because I like my little snoozing dragon just as much as you guys, I took a moment to play with some fabric scraps and dressed him up for the holidays. And doesn’t he look so cozy and festive?!
I absolutely love how my little quilty experiment turned out and would like to share the result with you. As a free pattern. Here you go!
A few details about the Santa hat pattern
Ok, let me tell you a little more about this Santa hat pattern!
It includes two options to dress up your little dragon. A set of foundation paper piecing templates (beginner level) and a set of appliqué templates. That means you can choose whichever technique you feel more comfortable with. Both options come with instructions on how to integrate the hat with the regular Dragon Dreams pattern. The changes are minimal, but I’ve done the math for you, so you can relax and just stitch up this sweet detail.
